Raymond Lafond, Chair
Raymond J-P. J. Lafond FCA, CMA

Putting his many years of experience to the benefit of his consulting firm, Raymond Lafond has held the positions of Board Director of Momentum Healthware Inc., Executive Director of the Catholic Health Corporation of Manitoba and Vice-Chair of the Board of St. Boniface General Hospital. Raymond Lafond has held many important executive positions during his long career as a chartered accountant and certified management accountant. These have included being the General Manager for the Caisse Populaire de Saint-Boniface and the Financial Controller for both Standard Aero and Co-op Implements. He has also been a volunteer board member on numerous organizations in the community including; The Francophone Chamber of Commerce of Saint-Boniface (as founding chair of the board), Entreprises Riel, The Federation of Caisses Populaires of Manitoba, Saint-Boniface General Hospital, St. Amant and Destination Winnipeg.

André Granger is Vice-President and General Manager of Westeel, Canada’s leading manufacturer of steel storage products, which exports its products throughout North America and to more than 60 countries around the world. Before joining Westeel in 2010, Mr. Granger had accumulated over 20 years of experience in automobile systems and industrial marketing and sales. He holds a national designation with the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM) and in March 2006, completed the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School (LBS).

Her clients include many leading organizations in the public and private sectors including the Canadian federal government, several Provincial governments and health authorities, Xstrata, Bureau de l’éducation française, Regional health authorities, Jysk, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Canada and Pollard Banknote.

A certified management accountant with a degree in business administration, Marc Labossière is part owner of two successful businesses, Academy Execs Management and Real E.NET Solutions, a software and services company focused on the real estate industry. In addition to these responsibilities and his involvement with ANIM, he also sits on numerous boards and committees including being both the vice-chair of the Board of Directors as well as the chair of the Resource Committee of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

 

Sergio Briscese, administrator

Sergio Briscese is the owner and founder of E&M Automotion Inc., an OEM trailer manufacturer based in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba. While the company specializes in automated trailer production, it has diversified its production to include subcontracted industrial machining for other companies. Mr. Briscese’s formal education includes study of Industrial Engineering at University of Manitoba, which has been of benefit to the company in obtaining international patents in Mexico, USA, China, Italy, France and Spain. In addition to his responsibilities with E&M Automotion, since 2006 Mr. Briscese is an elected Municipal official in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, as well as a CDEM board of directors member.

 

Bernie Clément, administrator

Currently owner of the fastest growing Chrysler dealerships (Pembina Chrysler Dodge jeep, Prairie FIAT, Pembina Valley Chrysler and Portage Chrysler) in Western Canada, Bernie Clément began his career with Chrysler Canada as a distribution analyst in 1988 before becoming the youngest executive in the history of Chrysler Canada at the age of 29. While with the company he held a number of positions including National Advertising Manager, Regional Manager for Western Canada and Quebec, Director of Sales for the Southwest United States and Vice President of Sales & Service for Chrysler Canada. He also served on the board of directors of DaimlerChrysler Canada.

She currently serves on the Honours and Awards Committee of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba.

Daniel is a business performance and operations specialist with extensive experience in organizational transformation, information technology and strategic planning in varied environments supported by a 19-year career as a Canadian Air Force officer. Currently in the role of Protegra’s business performance consulting practice leader, where he has contributed to the success of several major change programs for clients such as Loewen, Manitoba Labour and Immigration, Assante Asset Management, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration; he is a trained Performance Consultant and certified in Juran’s Leading Quality Design Teams.

 

Gilbert Robert, administrator

While working as an industrial draftsperson for Shell Oil in the early 1970s, Gilbert Robert recognized the need for a dedicated service centre for recreational vehicles in the Manitoba market when he was unable to find anyone to repair his own trailer. Based on this insight, he founded GNR Sportsland Centre Ltd. – with his brother and cousin – on a three acre plot of land in eastern Winnipeg. The company later became GNR Camping World RV Centre and has become Winnipeg’s largest RV Service Centre operating 21,500 square feet of facilities on 11 acres of land. Today, Gilbert remains co-founder and president of the company, which has been purchased by his two sons-in-law.

 

Martin Thibodeau, administrator

With more than 20 years in the banking sector, Martin Thibodeau brings to ANIM significant financial experience and knowledge gained from having held leadership roles in a number of different disciplines including Commercial Markets, Risk Management, Sales, and Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivière and a Masters of Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal.  He is also a Fellow with the Institute of Canadian Bankers, a member of the Asper Associates and is on the board of directors of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the St. Boniface General Hospital where he also sits on the Finance & Audit Committee.
